Shipping and Returns

Can i change my shipping address after i place an order? Any changes to your order must be emailed to before your order ships. After it ships, we cannot make changes to the order or reroute.

How long does it take for my order to ship? Orders ship in 1-3 business days.

How long does it take to receive my order? In most cases, you will receive your order within 3-5 business days after it ships. We ship via USPS First Class or Priority depending on what you select during checkout based on your order weight. For international orders, expect 10-15 business days to receive your order.

Do you offer expedited shipping? We do not as we find expedited shipping very expensive and not always reliable. We ship via First Class Mail or Priority. All domestic orders typically arrive within 5 business days after the order ships. International orders typically arrive in 10-15 business days.

Do you accept returns? We accept returns on unused items postmarked within 5 days after receiving. Once the items have been received by Compass Paper Co, they will be inspected for use and a refund will be issued. We provide refunds within 2 business days of receiving the returns however, we have no control over how quickly the banks will release the money into your account. In most cases, you will receive your refund within 10 business days. Sale items are non-returnable.

What happens if my order arrives damaged or a product is defective? Please reach out to us within 5 days of receiving and we will be happy to get you a replacement as soon as possible.

Do you ship internationally? We are set up to ship orders to Canada or the UK via this website. Please note any additional fees your country may charge are your responsibility to pay and unfortunately we have no way to know if your package will accrue additional charges going through customs. We also cannot guarantee specific delivery dates when shipping internationally. If you want to place an order to ship to another country please email 

How is my order packaged? All greeting cards, postcards and stickers will come packaged together in a recycled paper bag. Those items will ship in a recycled, rigid mailer. If your order just contains enamel pins, it will ship in a protective, recycled and recyclable bubble mailer.

Oh my god! You are using single use plastics to package your products??! I know it totally looks like we are but in fact that clear bag we use to safely package cards for retailers is plant based and definitely not plastic. It is compostable so feel free to throw it in your compost pile, send to your local compost facility or if you need to, throw away. 

Can you just ship my pin in a regular envelope? I wish! Pins will get destroyed in just a paper envelope and will arrive bent, chipped and all sorts of messed up. To save money, time and frustration, we will only ship pins in a protective mailer. 

Can you ship my sticker order in a regular envelope? Yes! If your order just includes stickers we can definitely ship those out in a paper envelope for you. Please note that the shipping will be slower than priority or first class mail by up to 5 days for domestic shipping. If you want to go this route, put a note in your order while checking out and we will be sure to refund you the difference for shipping.

Can I use more than one discount in my cart? At this time, no. Our website doesn't support using more than one discount per order.

Do you do custom work? No. We no longer offer custom work (things like custom cards, invitation suites or branding design). However, if you are interested in doing a collaboration between Compass Paper Co and your like minded brand, please feel to reach out and let's talk!

Do you charge sales tax? For orders shipping within Michigan, we do have to charge sales tax.

Do you offer wholesale? We absolutely offer wholesale to retailers. Please email us at to get set up to carry Compass Paper Co.

Something I just bought went on sale! Can I get a refund for the price difference? We will refund the difference if you purchased a full price item within 5 days of it going on sale. To get the refund, you must reach out via with your order information.

I didn’t get a packing slip with my order. What’s up with that? Since most packing slips end up either in the garbage or recycling bin right away, we choose not to print them for orders via this website. Please use your order confirmation email you received when you placed your order as your packing slip. That email goes to the address you provide when you place your order.

Gift cards.. how do they work? For now, we offer digital gift cards. Upon checkout gift cards are sent automatically to the email provided during the checkout process. After checkout we cannot edit the order for you - we can only resend the gift card to the email provided. Gift cards are non-refundable so please make sure the email provided is correct. Gift cards can be redeemed by using the unique code during checkout online or by providing that code during checkout in person at our Fishtown location.
